The good news is, with iGet Mobile, accessing your real computer is easy. Just fire up Firefox or some other Windows browser, and connect to your Mac. Browse your stuff, and get what you need. iGet Mobile can even convert some Mac file formats to something easier for Windows to handle. Emailing a file to yourself is very handy with devices like the iPhone, because it keeps a copy of the item on your phone all the time. You can refer to it later, even if you don't have network access (in a subway station, say, or at the beach). Other times, you might know you have a file that somebody else needs, but you don't want to have to go back to your Mac just to send it to them. To get you up and running fast, iGet Mobile can automatically create a self-signed SSL certificate that is used to encrypt your data and keep your files safe from others. If you have your own SSL certificate for your Mac, iGet mobile can use that instead. And like any good Mac citizen would, iGet Mobile uses the system Keychain to store your email password, so it isn't compromised.
